I’ve described the tear and repair process whereby muscle tissue is broken creating an adaptation response in which muscle fibers repair thicker and stronger.  However, muscle tissue repair only occurs during protein synthesis whereby every two hours synthesis occurs inside the muscle cell only in the presence of protein.  This  is why the prescribed amount of protein must be consumed every two hours, six times a day.  Not only will an adaptation response occur, this blocks the need to eat anything other than protein,  In this sense, think of protein as your muscle gain/fat loss medicine which is readily absorbed by the microscopically torn muscle fiber.  Clients who are able to follow this prescription will invariably see an increase in muscle and decrease in fat immediately following the 72 hour recovery process.  Because protein is such a critical component to MaxQ Fitness patented technology and process, please submit food choices or recipes consisting mostly of lean protein which work best for you.  I will then share these choices with my clients. Bon Appetite!
